Data Engineer - Under tillsättning eller tillsatt, ej sökbar

We are now searching for a Computer Engineer to take Uddeholm to the next level of Industry 4.0. The employment is located at our digitalization unit.

The digitalization unit at Uddeholms AB is a newly created group, currently consisting of three people, and is part of the project-engineering department. The unit has the task of strategically and operationally initiating, running and following up digitalization activities, in collaboration with internal and external partners. Currently, the major focus is designing and implementing infrastructures that enable efficient use of work methods within data science.

Your task

You will work at the interface between automation and data science, which means designing, implementing and monitoring data flows from our processes to data lake-storage and visualization.

Your employment will include:

• Responsibility for the development and implementation of infrastructure for our data pipelines.

• Work on data quality and standardization of data flows

• Participation in modelling and monitoring of data models through our AI platform

• Development and evaluation of digital solutions for the production environment

• Close interaction with internal key people and external partners

The employment is located in Hagfors and scheduled during daytime. When duties permit, there is the opportunity to work from our office in Karlstad or elsewhere.

Your profile

We are looking for candidates with a degree in computer engineering. Either you are at the beginning of your career or have worked a few years after your studies. You may also be a candidate of interest if you have acquired relevant knowledge in the field through work experience.

We regard knowledge / experience of the following as advantageous:

• Data science, automation, process industry and digitalization

• The Apache family such as Kafka, Spark, Flink and Hadoop

• Object-oriented programming with a focus on Java and Phython

• Environments such as Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Anaconda and SQL-databases

• Project methodology and project management

Since the work includes collaboration with many contacts, it is important that you enjoy social interaction, have the ability to work in teams, and can express yourself both orally and written in both Swedish and English. Since the work is both strategic and operational, we see that you are analytical, flexible and result and solution focused.
